Annual Report 2021-22 reflects on Society’s achievments

The St Vincent de Paul Society’s Annual Report for 2021-22 is now available, looking back at a year filled with both challenges and achievements.
Gracing the front cover of this edition is Dave, a Sunshine Coast resident who was homeless for five years before our Society helped him secure a home of his own.
Dave ‘s story fits the theme of this edition “The Home of Hope”, showing how our Society could provide hope to Queenslanders amidst a worsening state housing crisis and increasing cost of living concerns.
This edition also shares more about our biggest housing project in our Society’s 128 year history, our response to the devastating February 2022 floods, Member profiles, stories of people we’ve helped, and more.
During a difficult year for many Queenslanders, our Society was there to lend a helping hand – and the numbers speak for themselves.
During the 2021-22 financial year, our Society:
- Provided $355.4m in services and support to people in need, including $9.8 in direct Member assistance
- Helped 215,550 Queenslanders in need
- Provided more than 103,000 nights of accommodation during an ongoing housing crisis.

We are truly proud of the work of our Members, Staff and Volunteers who have been working together to support our communities.
